# Buckley Williams
Buckley Williams was a London-based product design studio founded by Nat Buckley and Dan Williams. The studio specialised in helping organisations understand how digital technologies could transform their existing products and services, whilst also creating entirely new offerings.
Rather than operating as a traditional design consultancy, Buckley Williams took a hands-on, experimental approach. They worked alongside multidisciplinary teams through interactive workshops, rapid prototyping, practical research and iterative making. This methodology proved particularly effective when exploring emerging technologies and their real-world applications.
Their client base spanned corporate organisations, cultural institutions, government bodies and social enterprises. Notable projects included developing an internet-connected radio device for media expert Russell Davies, facilitating innovation workshops for Mexican government education initiatives, and conducting research into how technology might improve end-of-life care for Doteveryone.
What distinguished Buckley Williams was their commitment to making digital innovation tangible and testable. Rather than theoretical proposals, they delivered working prototypes that clients could examine, learn from and iterate upon. The studio also invested in public education, teaching digital skills workshops and speaking publicly about their methodologies and findings.
The studio operated on a project-based model, collaborating intensively with clients over defined periods ranging from two weeks to four months. Both founders have since moved on to individual practices, with their respective portfolios available on their personal websites.
